I am always looking for new boards to meet some interesting poets/artists/writers. I am looking forward to meeting some new faces and some old faces on this board! It's been a while since I have been on the boards, but I have returned and am gloriously happy! :)

I am trying to put something together for you on a personal basis because I so honour you. I finally have rediscovered what I needed for you to read. It will take much time for me to for transcribe a Service Diary from WWII and written by a guy who was in the US Navy.

In the Hush Puppy shoebox which did really one hold real shoes was a bunch of stuff. There's a "Pocket To New Caledonia"....

Note about loading the Sils Forum

I am on high speed cable here, the highest level It takes me some time to load up the Sils Forum in order to read the contents. I pay dearly from the fastest speed available and it is high, the spped I mean. Yet, it takes Sils just sort of clikcs along with loading.up the autumn leaves.

I see that an announcement has been made concerning posting pictures and also signatures.
Since my material was done with Word Document and also with a notation to myself to insert an image before posting I think that I may be okay.
I don;t use a signature or a link to some other site.
I do worry about the Tapestries Forum. That forum here was meant from artwork and photographs. Does this mean that Tapestries cannot be utilized?

I do use iphoto, where most of my pictures are located.

Complaint about ads

I have been reading along on Flowing Quills and I have noticed that ads for pizza and other such things are showing up to the right side of the screen.
I do not understand why this is happening.
I thought that in the past Flowing Quills was supposed to be an ad free site.
I personally do not care for such ads to be souwing up next to a write of mine.
The ads do change and I don;t like the appearance of them at all.
I file a Member compliant against this.

I am Mike from the middle of England. A portrait painter for the most part, painting for 4 to 8 hours a day, I've still always found that writing gives me an ability to express ideas which is impossible with ordinary conversation. However, it is only recently that I've been able to write to a fuller completion. Since I'm just beginning to find my way any help would be greatly appreciated.
